We finally got all our photos back from the time Lydia was home in December and January.

This is December 15th with Lydia coming through customs. She nearly got busted for having some orange rind in her purse. She got by with a warning. Whew! That orange could have cost $300.

This is my mantle piece. The stockings were handcrafted by Grandma Lou, Tom's mother. The nutcrackers have all been collected over a 20 year period. There are more scattered about the house during the holidays.

Here is Tom looking comfy.

This year our Christmas tree was a rosemary shrub. While it's not big it did smell quite nice. And, it's still alive on my deck waiting to be transplanted into my herb garden.

These guys showed up after the holidays. Here they are in front of our house. Please note the frost on the grass. We do get some colder days here.
Sorry about this. I particularly like this shot of Lydia and I. She and Tom came into SF one day to have lunch. They took off with cameras in hand afterwards for a photoshooting afternoon around the City.

See the blue marker. That's the San Andreas faultline out in west Marin.

There is another blue marker in this photo. Plus, note the space (16') between the gates. That's how much movement there was on the fault at the time of the 1906 earthquake.

This is the lighthouse at Pt. Reyes. Lot's of steps.
Gosh darn! It did it again. Note the photographer's shadow. We are still at Pt. Reyes looking north.
More wildlife in Marin.
An old brick building in downtown Pt. Reyes Station. Note the "HOPE" in the upper windows.
And this is January 16th at SFO International Airport. Ciao Bella!

Yay they are finally up!
Thanks.
Note the pic with the cow: We had to wait for it to cross the road before proceeding back to Marin. That was a good time for us to snap some shots. It was in no hurry to get to the other side....
You should have gotten out of the car and whacked the cow on the butt - then it would have moved on a little faster. You can't be timid about these kinds of things.
I'm surprised that you have wild turkeys. You should have called Ed over with his shotgun and you could have been dinning on wild turkey.

Cows in Marin are so laid back.......
Linda
Yeah, I was wondering if Nate and Ed went crazy because I'm sure they can't shoot in the city. Didn't it drive them crazy to have wild game so close?
Laid back cows? They must be eating Carl's blend of Bermuda, Kentucky Bluegrass, and California Sensimia.
David
Don't shoot turkeys!!!
They showed up on my birthday, so it was message from God time: "Tom, you turkey!".

I bet it was nice to have lydia home for awhile. How has she been doing? Is she ready to return back to the states for good or is she wanting to stay in Europe longer??? It seems like she is really making the most of her time their. When you speak with her next, tell her hello for me. LOL Laura
