After 13 months Ginger is back home. In early February of last year Ginger disappeared. We mounted a search but never found her.
Yesterday a call came from a veterinary hospital in Petaluma, 25 miles away. Someone came in with a stray that they had been feeding and wanted to adopt. It was Ginger!!
Apparently Ginger had returned to the place she was born (she was a feral rescue kitten, trapped under an office building in Petaluma where Linda worked at the time).
She is little the worse for wear after her grand adventure, a couple broken teeth which do not seem to bother her.
Its still hard to read the paper when she is around. She likes to sit on top of them!

Flash Update!!
She wasn't in Petaluma, she was near the Larkspur Ferry terminal, about two miles away, and had been fed by a kind lady for practically the whole time.
Linda Newman (sp?) and her husband will visit Saturday so that she can meet the cat she rescued. Apparently Ginger really likes free-range roast chicken!
