Garden Stuff

Per Linda's request,
spring photos of my garden and landscape additions.

Sotols

Sotols send out shoots occasionally,
when they do the plant dies leaving the stalk.
Once dried they make light weight walking sticks.

Deck view of the new planter box and garden area.

Notice the Persian Lime tree.

New crushed limestone walk.

Walk will soon be covered with decomposed granite.

Walk with planter boxes.

Notice the rain water catchment barrels in the background.

Nice work. I'm looking forward to having house renovations done so we can think about landscaping again.

I like the walkway. I see you've deer-proofed your beds.

I've intended to make a pathway with crushed gravel on the south side of our house, but somehow I just never get around to it. Sigh!
Everything looks nice, David. Where do you intend to put the Persian lime?
By the way, thanks for the Birthday card. And, yes, I was shocked that you sent a "nice" one! Jan

The Persian Lime is in a large container in the big garden area. I will leave it in the container for a couple of years. David

Wish my backyard looked this good!! What are the little blue flowers above the beds in photo 3? What type of mulch do you use? LJM

Most of the time I use Texas hardwood mulch, black. The little blue/violet flowers are wildflowers. I don't know the name.

Linda, The purple flower in question is Prairie Verbena.
