Status Update: Boxes are now piled ceiling high in our basement ready for the truck to back up
to the garage and be loaded on for our first run in March. I could post a photo here, but then boxes are boxes after all.
I just wanted to remark that as I packed I kept running into so many, many things that you, my siblings , have made over the years and that have graced our home. So many pieces of pottery from
your hands, David. Pieces of art and decorative glass bottles and beer mugs that you have painted, Cherie. Decoupage boxes that you made, Linda.
And by comparison I can hardly think of anything that I've made for you all. (And you can probably be grateful for that as I can't rise to your levels of creativity! My poor efforts would be the
type of thing you'd hide away in a cupboard not to see the light of day!)
And no, I'm not going to take up painting in my retirement. Most of the things I make are
perishable - food and flowers I grow. I don't expect that to change much.
Just wanted to tell you all again how much I appreciate the work of your hands. Sis Jan
