Parting Shots

Here are a few parting shots from this summer and fall. I planned for more but life intervened and this is all I have.

August nearly killed all my plants. We recorded sixty day over 100 degrees this summer. Finally in late September and October the rain came. My tomato plants started blooming again and
have since gone crazy. It is a mass of different types of tomatoes. I call it my tomato bramble.

These two shots you've all seen before. Last year was much better. The Copper Canyon Daisies were late and everything else is in decline.

Nice rack! The male herd wandered through this summer late. They usually inhabit another part of the subdivision, but food and water were scarce so they were on the move.

Bevo would be envious of this longhorn. I drive by this guy and his brother fairly often down Bump Gate Road on my way to Beorne.

This is a shot from the pass on route 1 at Hill Country State Natural Area. I did quite a lot of MTB riding this summer. The rain and work have kept me off the bike since.

These last two shots are from one of the trails at Govt. Canyon. My Monday and Friday evening ride.

Great pics Dave. Your house and garden are really looking nice. I'm jealous. Especially enjoyed the photo of the longhorn.

I think it's amazing that you got even that much vegetation growing after the summer you had! Enjoyed the photos of some of your trails especially the spanish moss.
If I get some of our trip photos from our East coast adventure up I do have some cattle that would give your longhorn some competition! Jan
