Grateful Dead Night at the SF Giants

I took the ferry in to AT&T Park to see the Giants play the Milwaukee Brewers.  The Giants won on the  crisp pitching of new guy Chad Gaudin (6-1/3 innings, one run) and some timely errors by the Brewers.  Good to see even though the Giants season seems to have slipped away from them.

It was Dead night at the ballpark, so Bobby sang the national anthem, Bill Walton was there, and they played Dead songs and did Dead trivia between innings.  Oh!, and I got the bobblehead!

This one is included for the clouds on the way in.  There was also quite the light show on the way back between the lit up SF skyline, and the Bay Bridge (an art installation is on the supporting cables).

The ferry pulls right up to the ball yard.

Good seats, just down the way from Kruk and Kuip.

The ferry waiting to take us home.  I rode my bike to and from, so it was parked across the street at my gym in Larkspur Landing.  BTW:  The Giants have a free bicycle valet at the park!

The Dead Bobblehead.

So is that the old Candlestick renamed? David

No it's the old Pacbell Park renamed!

Candlestick was a horrible dump stuck away from everything. AT&T Park is on the SF waterfront just south of the Bay Bridge.

We'll catch a game when you come out to ride the Marin Century.
