I was having my Sunday breakfast and Linda was reading the IJ. "Isn't that the group you sometimes go out with and try and keep up with?" "Yeah, Echelon Riders Club." "The guy in the center looks a lot like you." "The guy in the center IS me!!"
So a group I have ridden with at most a half a dozen times, and there I am, dead center, above the fold, page 1 of the Lifestyles section! In honor of all this I got my bike gear on and rode over for the Sunday morning ride. The group was going to Pt Reyes Station, but a newbie and I decided on the shorter Nicasio Reservoir route. Turned out to be almost 4 hours in the saddle....
And yes, I got my ass dropped a third of the way up White's Hill and rode alone to Nicasio. Such as it ever was. You think they would treat such a distinguished member of their club better!
