House movers arrived in the morning and began their work to set
beams. They were setting up equipment when I was there, and with all
that movement, I was ready to get out of the way. The young man I
questioned about the process said they'd be there three days: setting
beams, lifting the house gradually, and I suppose collecting their
equipment to clear out for the next phase of renovation.
The photos below were taken by Bill Rounds, our Project
Manager with Pinnacle Construction. Bill was able to get a lot closer
to the action than I could have. So David and Curt, enjoy!

Notice the cribbing there in the foreground. There is an earlier photo showing the guy leveling the 4x4's. Heavy jacks will be placed on top of these and these crib's will set under the beams at various intervals. Slowly the jacks will be turned until the house is lifted all around. David
I'm sorry, those beams are 6x6's
