Back to school

Yesterday, Charli and Curt had their first official day of school. Both had great days and are looking forward to new stuff happening. Curt gets to help lead the charge building a new culture within the Red Oak District, and Charli has a new art teacher, plus a new preK class in her building.

So she had to leave behind her beloved kittens in the photos below and board the school bus.
That's Clinchey in the top photo -- her favorite. He's piled with a couple of other kittens on a chair in the second photo. Taming kittens was her summer project. She took the pics, btw.



I took this one of her as we waited for the bus to come.


Tomorrow and Friday, Ike and I will get him organized and packed to return to college. Also for those interested, Miss Blackburn's funeral is tomorrow morning. She was 100 this last May. I'll be cooking for that in the a.m.

Then hopefully next week, I'll be able to return to some sort of routine.
