I'm dizzy

Ok, when I first looked at this blog, which, Lydia, I think is a great idea, there were only 3 posts; I tried to log on once but had left out part of the address (I'm an internet klutz) so was unsuccessful. then I got a call from Laura. By the time I got back here to try again there were 9 posts. I suspect we will have this tremendous burst of posting and then . . . . things will sloooow down.
We have beef stroganoff in the oven, also like your tamales,Ike, a Daniel favorite. It has to slow cook and about now is beginning to smell realllly good.
And Ike, Daniel is also going to college with a mohawk. He wanted one before he took the Euro
trip, but I wouldn't allow it. However I told him I didn't care if he did that to scare his new roomate. We will be driving him to Iowa City on Friday. Have been trying to get some
of his stuff organized this weekend after our trip to Canada the previous week.
David, thanks for posting the photos of your visit to the Miner-Voigts. sounds like you did
all the most fun & interesting things you could think of. Great that you were able to give Linda
some help with her backyard because it does sound like it needs tender loving care. I am extremely envious about the visit to the Miner vineyard and the trip to Chez Panaise!
Lydia, Daniel is supposed to be telling you about his Euro trip, especially Switzerland. So I
won't say much, except to wish you a safe trip and a successful next 2 years. I expect you will
keep us posted from time to time and we'll be looking forward to that.
Our Canada trip went well. Couldn't have asked for better weather. Enjoyed getting together with Ophir, Sheryl & Zach. Got to do two nice hikes, one above Lake Louise on the Agnes Lake trail - very steep the whole way, but stupendous view at the top; and an easier hike to Johnston Falls the next day. Zach went in the backpack both days on Ophir's back.
Returning we angled down to Great Falls Montana and then through Lewistown, a sweet little town out in the middle of Montana Ranching country. route 212 took us right past Custer's
battleground which we stopped to see; and then into South Dakota. I could say more but in the
interest of brevity . . . . .
Till later, Jan

Jan,

You got to go, go, go girl. Get up to that speed. Sure the site may slow at times with few postings, but I think the hope is that people will post to it and also that it is a format that ya'lls's children can relate to more better.

The problem with email of course is that some of the less techie tend to be slow in their responses. This may allow anyone in the family to respond and relate info about another family member who hasn't answered an email.
