California, continued.....

Linda and David at the Family Winery

To add to Linda's original post I'm attaching some photos taken over the course of the week. The last pics show some of what she is up against with the yard and garden area. I'm thinking now that if she removes the old planters the area would make for a nice sculpture garden.

We kept the pavement hot with trips to three different art museums and various other galleries - a bicycle race, a trip to Napa Valley where we stopped to visit one of Lydia's friends whose family are Napa Valley grape growers. They have a vineyard and produce grapes for different wineries. We made trips to Fallkirk where Linda's local Master Gardener's group has several ongoing projects. We also dined at the world famous Chez Panaise. Friday evening Lydia performed at Dance Arts. Lydia's "Hustle" routine was spectacular.

There is really much more to tell. I think we all enjoyed the time together.

Looks like you had a wonderful trip. Love the Chihuly sculpture and the garden shots. If I could find a way to pay for the trip, I'd sign up for the next rotation. In the meantime, I'll have to take care of some things here!
